Position Summary: 

Our client, based in Plattsburgh, NY, is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist to lead corporate brand development, inbound marketing strategies, external communication efforts, and much more! In this dynamic role, you will be a key member of an organization that seeks to help local businesses grow and prosper in the region.

Take a Closer Look:

• Develop and implement strategic inbound marketing, lead generation, and business development initiatives. 

• Support the development and implementation of an annual marketing plan and budget in concert with the Business Development Manager and Business Attraction & Retention Committee

• Support the Business Development Manager with research, analysis, and reporting 

• Create & deploy a monthly digital newsletter

• Represent the organization at prospect meetings and in community-related events as needed

• Perform detailed research into prospects, their business category, industry characteristics, and competitive regions

• Analyze competitive best practices and marketing benchmarks to drive a digital marketing execution strategy 

• Optimize website traffic and engagement

• Identify additional opportunities for the organization to deploy digital technology to enhance the overall marketing initiatives

• Develops press contact relationships, writes press releases, creates media kits and article placement

Who you are- Key Skills and Experience:

• A demonstrated track record of independent project management within a collaborative environment

• Proficiency with SEO, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and social media platforms

• Basic knowledge of website design, html, search and social advertising, URL architecting, programmatic advertising, email marketing. 

• Strong writing skills, with a preference of French language proficiency 

• Excellent public speaking & presentation skills

• Must have a valid Driver’s License and Passport, or ability to obtain a Passport and ability to travel to Canada

• Effectively handle multiple tasks and maintain an excellent working relationship with organization board members

Must-Haves: 

• Graduation from a bachelor’s degree program in marketing, communications, business or a related discipline and two (2) years experience, or an associate’s degree and four (4) years’ experience directing marketing activities in a corporate setting; 

• Proven record of digital marketing project management including: 

• A working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) 

• Web Analytics and E-Communications
